Scottish Olympic TT (Eglinton)

Waking early on Sunday morning high above Kilwinning in Ayrshire we, (myself & Gary), quickly realised that we were in for a tough race. Wet roads and at times strong winds were the order of the day. The first few miles brought some nice rolling roads out of the Eglinton park starting point. Once turning left of the A736 the roads turned a little rustic, very slippery on many of the corners and i was to find myself running very wide on a number of bends with two trips onto the grass i can remember ! Paul & Sean had the miss-fortune of coming off but both got away with the usual injuries. The course seemed longer than the  approx 24 miles we had been told, i think after a quick google that 27 miles-ish is more like it, we'll need to wait on the official measurement. The Edge RT/Dooleys cycles also won the team prise, well done to Gary Robson & Tom Dempster.
