Decembers Training.
I started December with a recovery week which seemed to last a life time. The weather was as you'd expect so that made things a little easier to handle. The weather for the rest of the month was not to bad all things considered. Very cold at times but this can be quite nice. Myself & Ben Thompson managed to ride the Glenuig loop during the month, virtually unheard of at this time of year. (this is the Chris Sidwells report on the same ride we did during the summer)

Having made it through Christmas & now New Year, all be it over fed and over weight, I'm looking forward to January and a 2008 to see what it brings.
All the best to everyone for the coming season.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear about Jason's tragic passing. I was introduced to him and his wife Caroline through mutual friends a few years ago and spent many good times in their company. He was a true gentleman with such an endearing manner. Devoted to his wife and adorable twin daughters Morgan and Chloe, with whom I offer my deepest condolences.
Such an unbelievable and untimely end to a young life. My thoughts are with the whole family.

This is such sad news. I too am a cyclist but only cycling to work and back each day as I enjoy the exercise. I do appreciate the dangers that cyclists face on each journey they make.
Sincerest condolences to Jason's wife and children.

As a teacher at Lochaber High School in the 1980s knowing I was a cyclist Jason and some of his friends asked me to organise a time trial near the school - perhaps his first ever race.I have watched Jason's cycling career over the years with admiration and pride.
Now totally shocked to hear of his death.
My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

Such a sad loss, the thoughts of the Cyclists throughout the world can only be with the family Jason has left behind. Dedication to sport was obviously second only to his passion for his family.
Our thoughts are with you all.

You'd want to ride a TT just because Jason was riding - a huge inspiration across the UK. So unfair, cannot believe it...I'm going to go quicker this year in his memory.

Privileged to have ridden in the same field as Jason at Forres in 1993 when he rode away from everyone with absolute class to win at Darnaway Castle. He energised Scottish Cycling and will continue to do so. Thoughts with everyone.

Very sad news, been in a daze all day.
Only really knew Jason through school but was aware of his success and achievements as a keen follower of cycling, and all from a local lad. Massive loss for family, friends, cycling and Fort William. Will miss not seeing him out training in and around Lochaber, a peep of my horn as I safely passed always got a smile and a wave.He was so quick.
Jason - a really nice guy to meet.
heartfelt condolences to family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
