Jason was tragically killed while cycling on the A82 near Fort William on 15th January. His death marks the untimely end of a brilliant cycling career.
Jason will be remembered by all who knew him for his determination to excel in cycling, alongside the other passion in his life, his wife and children, who are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jason,
The track boys might have got all the glory recently, but you were the braveheart to the end.
You've got some great challenges ahead of you now, (I think the greats will be quaking in their cleats).
From from a prod jock.

I can't think about what happened to you - it's too painful. So I think of the good times we spent together and that makes me smile. When you were staying in Glasgow a few years ago, we'd meet up and go for bike runs together. One of the best days I've ever had on the bike was the day we took the ferry to Dunoon and did the Tighnabruaich loop. We bumped into Dougie and Brian on the boat and we all went round together. Despite 2 cafe stops I still managed to get the knock. You fed me dates and banter and kept me going. On the final run-in to Dunoon I did a David Harman type interview with you giving a blow-by-blow account of your Glasgow - Dunoon victory. I can still hear us laughing all the way.
The sun shone on us all that day - it can't ever shine that bright again.
Caroline, Chloe and Morgan - if we can do anything to help you, ever, in any way - don't hesitate to call.
Much love
Hugh, Karen, Michael, Hughie and Alex Jamieson

Heard this unbelievable news when driving to work on Wednesday morning. It stopped me in my tracks. The last time I saw Jason was in Aberdeen at our 25 in September. I was looking forward to racing against him in the National 25 up here this summer. I won't get the chance now, but he'll always be with me when I ride my bike.
A truly great man, an inspiration, and a fantastic cyclist. Our thoughts are with your family at this terrible time
